The white eagle is a delightful venue to go for anytime of the season. It is based in the Beautiful region of Rhoscolyn on Holy Island, with beaches a few minutes stroll away and views to die for it really is a must in your diary. It is one of our true favorites and really holds fast when it comes to its consistency of high quality food and service. It a very popular venue and summer booking is most advisable. The reliability of great service is no doubt down to the land lady Adrian, who manages the venue exceedingly well. The staff are superb and are very attentive to detail.
The Restaurant is divided into two distinct and delightfully decor areas. The main area as depicted below has three enclaves with seated areas for food dining and there is one large dinning area to the back of the room which is sightly partitioned off for birthday groups. There is the snug on the wing of the building with more seating areas which is divided into two rooms, open fire and gorgeous oak paneling on the walls. The decor is very comfortable, elegant and decadent.
There is a bar on both side of the restaurant also which saves walking around mid meal for a Ale top up. They food is excellent, with local and seasonal produce on the menu, such as Mussles from the Menai Straits and meats from local farms and producers. There are Ales form the Local Conwy Brewery, Weetwood ales and beers from Wrexham largers make a nice compliment to their sourcing.
They have a stunning glass backed window facing onto the Snowdonia panorama and the Llyn peninsular. There is a great wooden decked area for summer events and alfresco dinning in the sunshine and a great big garden for the kids to run around in.
Rhoscolyn beach is just moments away down the lane, we love it there and spend many an afternoon, fishing, swimming and spearfishing there in the summer months. Its Idyllic.
