The sea shanty in Treaddur bay is the newest of the restaurateurs hand picked by whatsonnorthwales. It is nestled in a wonderful area in Treaddur Bay on the West coast of Holy Island, Anglesey. This area is a very popular location for summer visitors with all manner of water sports action going on there for the majority of the season. The buildings and outer perimeter have been very tastefully restored to a high standard that blends in with it environment.
The interior as soon as you step in smacks of a a classy Mara-time boat yard of yesteryear come stylish modern gastro pub. It is a true testament to the owners flair and creativity. What will strike you most upon entering is the amazing array of Sailing Dinghy’s on the ceiling, from Dory’s to Mirrors, they line the interior of the roof line upside down, and makes a fantastic feature!
The Sea Shanty is open all year round. It did exceedingly well in its inaugural year of business. The Staff of which there are 50+, are very friendly, attentive and very eager to serve. Food is fantastic and we particularly love the open view plan kitchen, which always is amazing to see. The standards don’t slip on the busy days where the kitchen is pushed to its threshold either . There is log burner for winter months and its a cozy place to retire to for a warming brunch or hot drink on those cold winter days.
They have begun a breakfast buffet of late which is excellent value, we all have come out of there too full to speak. The beach is less than a minutes walk around the back of the building, so a paddle board, sail, or a surf is not out of the question before hand and head straight in for a feed. They have a Ice cream parlor at the front of house, and serve coffee and cakes all day. We hope you Enjoy! Visit: www.seashantycafe.co.uk
