North Wales has some amazing photography spots dotted all along its coast. Whether you are looking for photography locations in Snowdonia, Anglesey or on the Llyn, your not likely to struggle. With the best sunsets in the country, found in north Wales, each westerly facing beach can spoil you with its evening light. You will find some amazing viewpoints throughout the whole north Wales, from beaches to the mountain tops, the spectacular views here will inspire you.
Landscape photography in north wales has gone through a huge renaissance in the past decade, with the advent of digital apps such as Instagram, that can showcase peoples creative work more easily.
Instagram is a huge thing now on social media, whether you use the platform or not, it’s a wonderful way to demonstrate your photographic skills to the world and even make a living from it.
I think Instagram has had a great effect on spreading the beauty of north wales to the masses though the lens of the everyday photographer.
The best instragram spots in north Wales can be a subjective topic, but we each have our favourites. I can only go from the number of impressions and views we get on each of our top pics from the amazing community on our Instagram page.
We will do a separate article in due course on the Top instagramer’s of north wales and give you a low down of who the select bunch, of what I would call “ pro shooters” who consistently are making amazing creative’s for us all to share.

- South Stack light house – Ynys Lawd. A magical light house on the far side of Holy Island, off Anglesey. My family where lighthouse keepers here for some generations. Its a magic place. Photo by @oliverpocock
2. Menai Suspension Bridge – Porthaethwy / Menai Bridge. A beautiful spot on the shores of the Menai strait. Photo by the lovely @Sian_monument
3. Tryfan- Snowdonia

4. Ynys Llandwyn – Llandwyn Island, Newborough.

5. Trwyn Ddu, Lighhouse Penmon.
