Local produce in north Wales

Anglesey and north Wales have some of the most nutrient rich farm land anywhere in the UK. As a result we have some of the most amazing fruit and vegetables around. Our farmers are excellent growers and pour lots of love into their craft, which in turn creates delicious seasonal veg grown your door step.

The difference in home grown veg to super market is unparalleled. The taste factor is amazing and the nutrients which get up taken by the plant, provide you with, way healthier food on your plate.

So a week or two ago, on a sunday we where wanting to cook some delicious organic food and it transpired we couldn’t get the vegetables we where after.. So after pondering it for a while, I decided it was an opportunity to go and hunt some local veg producers and local produce here in north Wales, so that in future, we can source lovely veg that are home grown on or just off the island of Anglesey.

I knew of a few but wanted to explore some more. So we set off on a a little tour to find a few of the places I had been re-tweeting and posting on social media.

So below are the first four of the five local produce and farm veg box companies we visited. We didn’t make it to the fifth Tatws Bryn, but we are look forward to visiting his place in the future.. I have also attached a some of the bigger farm shops that have a strong presence in north Wales. This is more of a taster blog on the subject and will happily go deeper into this if readers want us to in the future. If we have more to add, please let us know in the comments section below the blog. Hope its useful for you..
